Kaylie Caires fell in love with dancing at the age of four and has kept her body moving ever since. Originally from San Diego, Kaylie danced with the San Diego Civic Dance Company for six years. She has had the opportunity to work with artist such as Jean Isaacs, John Malashock, Don and Bonnie Ward, and Julliard professional Andrea Feier. Kaylie has over fifteen years of training in Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Modern dance. She is currently in her senior year at UCSC, working towards her Bachelor degree in Theater Arts. While at UCSC Kaylie has performed with Shakespeare Santa Cruz and has worked closely with dance professionals Lisa Norris, Tandy Beal and Summer Ulrickson. Kaylie began teaching dance at local public schools through the UCSC Arts Bridge program. This past summer she taught and choreographed for the Palo Alto Children Theater. Kaylie loves the sense of creativity that is built through the art of dance and the smiles she receives from young dancers.
