Leslie Johnson began dancing when she was two-and-a-half years of age and trained at Pamelot School of Dance in her hometown of Auburn, California for 15 years. During her childhood she extensively studied ballet, jazz, modern, tap, musical theater, and hip hop. As a young dancer she became part of a semi-professional dance company called Rhythm N' Motion that performed throughout the community and competed in Bay Area dance competitions. In her teens she was also part of Blueprint Dance Company for a season, and Valley Dance Ensemble--a company that performed at and hosted cancer benefits. In 2005 at the age of 18, Johnson earned an American Legion Auxiliary award for performance and involvement within her community. At this time she was also choreographing gold medal earning pieces for Rhythm N' Motion.

In 2009, she became a certified Zumba instructor and traveled to New York City where she performed in a dance piece choreographed by Tawnya Kuzia, a finalist for the Capezio A.C.E. Award. This year she also proudly began her own dance company, Flex, Check them out on Facebook.
