Carol Hill, Instructor
Carol Hill and her sister, Barbara, are the third generation of a theatrical family that began in New York. Drawing on her rich dance and theater heritage, Carol now teaches and choreographs in the Santa Cruz area, specializing in Tap and Theatre dance instruction for teens and adults.
1993 marked the founding of the Carol Hill Dancers. This group of semi-professional dancers perform at locations through out Northern California. The group, which now numbers 16, rehearses weekly, in addition to regular classes and performances.
When she is not teaching group or private lessons, Carol practices Tai Chi Chuan (Yang style) which she has done for the past 15 years. She has found that this ancient practice, while seemingly very difficult, is actually in balance with dance and brings new insight to her teaching.
